MIDZYs Demand Better Treatment for ITZY Ryujin, Send Protest Trucks in Front of JYP Entertainment

MIDZYs have spoken up regarding JYPE's treatment of Ryujin.

On August 7, protest trucks have been sent in front of the JYP Entertainment building. ITZY's fandom MIDZYs laid out concerns regarding member Ryujin, whom they claim is being mistreated by the agency.

Firstly, they addressed how JYP Entertainment was making her official position in the group vague. Fans mentioned that Ryujin is the least promoted member of ITZY since their rookie days, and that the company should give her the chance to engage in solo endeavors. This demand include producing self-made contents and expanding social media presence.

One of the protest trucks wrote:

"STOP making Ryujin's official positioning so vague. How is Ryujin the ITZY member with the least solo promotions since debut? Please guarantee Ryujin's solo activities by giving her freedom to do so. Make some self-made contents that can showcase her personal talents.

This was followed by a separate protest truck, which addressed the better treatment of Ryujin's wellbeing such as her physical and mental health. MIDZYs also insisted JYPE to be operational in dealing with malicious comments and defaming rumors made towards the idol.

"Guarantee Ryujin's physical and mental health. You should also actively deal with rumors and malicious comments. Do not let your conceptual core be pushed aside in the mainstream. If you can't do your work (properly), please leave already, and keep up with the trends.

As the discussion progressed, netizens conveyed their thoughts on the rally. Users pointed out the message translation of the trucks, and wondered if these vehicles were sent by foreigners. Some were also curious if all members got their own protest truck.

•  "Were these sent by foreigners?"
•  "If you translate 'concept' into Korean, you have conceptual, so I think they meant 'identity member.'"
•  "What are they talking about? Can they have Koreans double check the messages first before sending the trucks next time?"
