Since then, killing notices have been posted several times online, and the authors of the posts have been arrested one after another.

While the National Police Agency attested that they would take strong legal action against such indiscriminate murder notices, online postings continued and even K-pop idol Winter received death threats.

The author posted a message titled:

"I will stab and kill aespa Winter leaving tomorrow with a sashimi knife."

They also revealed the specific time of the prospective murder, adding:

"aespa Winter is leaving tomorrow."

However, when the article became controversial due to the recent riots with weapons in Seoul and Seongnam, the author deleted the post.

At the time, the group is about to leave the country for Los Angeles through Incheon International Airport. Thus, after receiving reports, SM and the dispatched police accompanied the quartet under strict security.

Fortunately, aespa left and landed safely in LA.
