In SNS and online communities, fans raised speculations that BTS V dedicated one of his songs from his solo album to his rumored girlfriend BLACKPINK Jennie.

On August 8, the tracklist for BTS V's solo album, "Layover," was unveiled. The concept was created in collaboration with ADOR's CEO and creative director Min Hee Jin, who is behind SM artists and NewJeans iconic album releases.

Based on the photo teaser, the mini-album will be comprised of six songs and a piano version of the song, "Slow Dancing."

Although fans are excited to hear all songs from the album, a certain track grabbed huge attention, and it is V's b-sidetrack "For Us."

This track was introduced as a pop R&B track that leaves a lasting impression as the album's epilogue. It is expected to stir up the listener's deep emotions, with V's impressive vocals and unique lyrics.

Just then, the lyrics of the song drew attention, especially the part where V said:

“Now you’re in California. I’m still waiting for us. Will you change your mind. I would give it all up. For us.”

Hearing this, fans suspected that this song is dedicated to Jennie.

One piece of evidence is that California, as mentioned in the lyrics, holds a special place in Jennie's heart due to the comfort she gets when she's there. So much so that the idol even decided to buy a home in Los Angeles.

In fact, V also has a "leaked" photo in a swimming pool, which was believed to be taken in Jennie's swimming pool in LA.

Thus, fans claim that the message, "I'm still waiting for us," is for Jennie who he's willing to "give up everything" for.

Lastly, the promotional image for "Layover" shows him wearing a Foundrae necklace, which was rumored to be a "couple item" with the BLACKPINK member.

Nevertheless, some ARMYs (BTS fans) and BLINKs (BLACKPINK fandom) think that people are reading too much about V's solo debut, and that the "evidence" holds little weight.

Meanwhile, In May 2023, V and Jennie's romantic relationship rumor rose again after a fan spotted them out and about in Paris.

Although neither of their agencies denied the rumor, it was as good as confirmed according to people as their 'fits in the video matched their clothes posted by fans who also spotted them respectively.

Jennie also posted her photos on Instagram, wearing the same 'fit, making it harder for fans to believe the "they edited the video" narrative.
