The criticism of Joshua has taken a step further.

This was followed by its remark, stating how a future is now unlikely for him, due to "stepping the sincerity of fans," as well as the other members' perseverance. It wrote:

"Joshua, withdraw. This is an opposition to your dating news, lip syncing, and public display of affection. There is no future for a celebrity who oversteps fans' sincerity, and the members' hard work!"

This activity sparked an outrage inside the CARAT fandom, who expressed their divided thoughts towards the protest truck. On the comment section, some people elaborated that they're not exactly against with Joshua dating, but with him "toying" with the fans.

However, some expressed their shock on how a protest truck was immediately sent at PLEDIS and voiced that this certain action will only make things worse for the fandom. Some simply conveyed their frustration on the truck.

  •  "Wow, the news only went out just a few days ago, but they're so quick in sending trucks."
  •  "This will just get the fans sworn at."
  •  "This is a bit too much."
  •  "Ah, this is so embarrassing."
  •  "Look, I get that they're mad, but requesting him to 'withdraw' is just unbelievable."

Meanwhile, in a separate online community, other CARATs claimed that this was not the doing of the fandom, but of the antis. Others argued that Chinese fans and solo stans of Joshua may be the ones allegedly involved in the truck-sending. They stated:

  •  "Please take note that this truck was sent by Chinese antis and not by CARATs! I already said this on the last post, but some people are really after SEVENTEEN."
  •  "It could be Chinese fans since haters aren't up for spending expensive money just to send a truck."
  •  "These aren't antis, but his solo stans. Antis would not waste their money on this."
  •  "It's probably the solo and delulu fans."
