On August 12, the Chinese media Sina Entertainment released an exclusive article reporting the extramarital affair and love child rumor of former WJSN Cheng Xiao (25) and world-renowned actor-singer Tony Leung (61).

According to the news, the forbidden love overcame their 36-year age gap and fell in love with each other.

According to the source, it was speculated that something special was going on between them when they were spotted shopping together in 2022.

There is also a suspicion that Cheng Xiao became the mistress of Tony after giving birth to his illegitimate child. He allegedly brought a villa in Japan to hide the baby. However, Carina Lau, Tony's wife, is said to be aware of the affair.

Following this report, the rumor became a huge shock not only in the K-pop scene but also in the Chinese entertainment industry where the two stars are currently active in.

On August 13, Tony Leung released his side amid speculation and suspicion and dismissed them as "outrageous fake news."

“It is an absurd and nonsensical rumor. Everyone doesn’t need to pay attention to these false rumors, just maintain a cheerful and optimistic spirit.”

His wife also indirectly hinted at her reaction to the issue by posting her daily life photos, implying that she's not bothered by it.

As for Cheng Xiao, she went strong and announced her plan to legally respond to rumors of an absurd affair.

It is absurd fake news, but it is a position to block rumors by responding strongly to Chinese media that reported it as if it were true.
