Amid Joshua's current dating rumor with an influencer, fuel was added to the fire when the male idol's alleged ex-girlfriend broke her silence amid relationship speculations.

Former MOMOLAND Jane Firmly Denies She Dated SEVENTEEN Joshua

On August 18, former MOMOLAND Jane took to her official fan community platform to dismiss rumors of a romantic relationship with SEVENTEEN Joshua.

On this day, she announced her position after the speculation that she was the male idol's ex-girlfriend arose among netizens and K-pop fans. In her official statement, the idol clarified that she wasn't close to Joshua at all and denied that she ever met anyone in the industry in private.

Here's ex-MOMOLAND Jane's Full Statement:

"I searched my name today without hesitation as well.

I don't know what to say because it's very awkward and I'm being careful about it. But I at least wanted to tell my fans... So I'm daring to write this down.

Everyone, I work in the entertainment industry, but I've never met anyone mentioned (SEVENTEEN Joshua) in private. Not even once. I've also never met even the people around him, and we don't have any connection with each other.

I don't know why they keep talking about it even now, many years later. I have no idea. I probably have Jo Se Ho's expression (referring to a meme), 'I don't know, how do I go?'

I'm aware that it's been known for a long time that there was such a rumor, and there were a lot of phone calls from fans at the company at that time, so much so that even my company was misunderstood.

Since then, whenever it was mentioned, I could truly put my hand on my chest and passed it lightly, saying, 'The smoke indeed comes without any fire, that's how I can blow it off easily.'

Being still, becoming a fait accompli, people see me as a straw bag and established the (rumor) as a fact. I don't like anything that causes misunderstanding anymore, so I'm speaking up, out of sadness and unfairness. Thank you!"

Meanwhile, MOMOLAND, to which Jane belongs before has been loved for songs such as "Bboom Bboom," "BAAM," and "Banana Chacha" since its debut in November 2016. Unfortunately, all of them left their agencies in January this year and announces official disbandment.

Meanwhile, Jane's statement was deemed as a response to her dating rumor with Joshua which resurfaced in August after an OP claimed that the male idol dated someone from a less popular girl group.

People are quick to point out Jane as the rumored ex-girlfriend, bringing back the time when the male idol was "caught" staring at the female celeb during year-end ceremony performances.

When Jane allegedly went to the waiting room, Joshua followed her as well. Also, a similar stuffed toy was spotted in Jane and Joshua's respective dorm rooms, speculated as a "couple item."
