Jane's Personal Background, Tranee Days, & History With MOMOLAND

Sung Jiyeon, or popularly known as Jane, was born on December 20, 1997, in Changwon, South Korea. The idol is also revealed to have a younger sister.

Regarding her educational background, Jane attended Seoul Toseong Elementary School, Poongnap Middle School, and majored in practical dance at the famous Hanlim Arts School.

During her pre-debut days, Jane used to be a fansite master, who took charge of the site "Baby's Breath." This platform was dedicated to INFINITE members L and Sungkyu, serving Inspirits under the username @BB_Pudding. Eventually, the account was deleted.

Jane first became exposed in the K-pop industry during 2016, when she became one of the contestants in Mnet's girl group reality survival show "Finding Momoland." Jane's talent in dancing and singing quickly led her to climb the ranks and secure the No. 7 spot.

Initially, MOMOLAND was a seven-membered girl group, which included Jane into the original lineup. In 2017, former members Daisy and Taeha were added. MOMOLAND then started their journey with their first mini album "Welcome to Momoland."

Accompanied by her natural talent in dancing and singing, Jane became considered as one of the group's aces. She also got the lead vocalist role due to her versatile range.

MOMOLAND then released numerous hits such as "Wonderful Love," "Freeze!," and eventually, their 2018 breakout song "Bboom Bboom." Because of this bouncy track's success, the group garnered serious recognition in domestic areas, followed by a massive international following.

The sensational girl group then dropped songs such as "BAAM," "I'm So Hot," "Thumbs Up," "Ready or Not," and "Yummy Yummy Love."

On January 27, 2023, MOMOLAND officially disbanded when all six members, including Jane, released their handwritten letters that bid their farewells.

After MOMOLAND disbanded, Jane began to solidify her social media presence through Instagram and vlogging.

While her vlog started way back on February 28, 2021, the former MOMOLAND member continued to release fun content in her channel. The idol is also consistent in uploading pictures on her official Instagram account, where she updates fans of her whereabouts and pastimes.

Jane's YouTube channel "MOHAYEON" consists of her doing various activities, such as visiting cat cafés, doing food reviews, mukbang ASMR content, beach trips, baking, camping, and many more.
