Amid this, various speculations and opinions were revealed in a popular online community, claiming that malicious and hateful comments accounted for a big part of the situation.

Fans revisited the past incidents where Lia became controversial for her dance skills and was described as "somewhat lacking" and "insufficient."

In December 2020, ITZY performed a cover of T-ARA's "Roly Poly" at the SBS's "Gayo Daejeon in Daegu."

After the performance, Lia became a hot topic online, but for the wrong reasons.

She became the center of criticism after she made several mistakes while doing the choreography and her part was edited as a fancam, then rapidly spreading online.

In the wake of the controversy, netizens would focus more on Lia's dancing skills every time ITZY would make a comeback, and malicious comments continued.

The so-called "lazy dancing" issue follows Lia to date, such as when she performed "CHESHIRE" in March and people pointed out how she was unable to match the beat, or how she looked awkward when moving.

Maliciously-edited YouTube shorts about Lia's dance skills circulated, leading to heavy bad comments about her.

Although it is not known whether she was struggling with malicious comments, just struggling with her schedule in poor health, or if she really lacked dance skills, it is certain that the malicious comments that went too far indeed went too far.

MIDZYs admitted that Lia is indeed a member with struggling dancing skills. However, it doesn't stand out much, and it was only an excuse to do malicious criticism.
