BLACKPINK Completes World Tour Amid Contract Renewal Controversy

Amid rumors that Rosé was the only member to renew her contract with YG Entertainment, BLACKPINK successfully completed their world tour "BORN PINK - FINALE IN SEOUL" held at Gocheok Sky Dome
on September 16th and 17th.

All 35,000 seats were sold out for both days, and the quartet set a new K-pop girl group world tour record of 34 cities around the world, 66 performances, and 1.8 million viewers.

While the group BLACKPINK successfully took the end of their world tour, photos of celebrities who attended the concert were revealed one after another, drawing attention.

aespa members (Karina, Giselle, Winter, and NingNing) were spotted waiting for the performance at the concert hall. Aside from them, many idol members also attended, including Red Velvet Seulgi, WJSN Bona, Woo!ah! Nana, Meenoi, WINNER Kim Jinwoo, BIGBANG Taeyang, and former IZ*ONE's Kim Minju.

When the list was revealed, fans were surprised about aespa's appearance, because prior to that, there was no significant interaction or relationship between the two artists. They aren't under the same agency, and don't have overlapping comebacks and releases.

Karina Reveals Reason aespa Attended BLACKPINK's Seoul Concert

In a fan call event, Karina finally opened up about their attendance at BLACKPINK's Seoul concert, which went viral in SNS and online communities!

On September 21, MYs took to Twitter to reveal the special connection between aespa and BLACKPINK, leading the former to attend the group's encore concert in Seoul as soon as they arrived in Korea after an international schedule.

During the call, Karina told the MY that aside from aespa being on the invited list of BLACKPINK, she confessed that she's actually close to its eldest member, Jisoo!

The "Spicy" singer said:

"I have gotten close with Jisoo unnie (older sister). She contacted me first and said that she likes me."

Jisoo personally invited her and the rest of aespa to attend the concert. Their respective groups even met each other backstage, and according to NingNing, their seniors were all nice!

Amid this news, fans recalled the time Karina low-key showed support to her senior and unnie, by dancing to Jisoo's solo debut song, "Flower," and playing with a Jisoo-inspired doll.

Amid various reactions, fans and netizens are also showing curiosity about how Karina and Jisoo became close to each other and how and why the senior idol came to like the aespa leader.
