Kep1er in Discussion With Companies Regarding Group Contract Extension

Kep1ians (Kep1er's fandom) have received some good news!

On September 22, a Korean media outlet reported that Kep1er's agency Wake One Entertainment engaged with each of the members' respective agencies regarding the possibility of extending the group's contract.

Wake One Entertainment also relayed their official statement about the update. Their statement included the agency's willingness to foresee Kep1er's future success and the ongoing discussion's status.

The agency addressed Kep1er's midway journey, which required further discussion regarding their future activities for the long run. Read their statement below:

"As Kep1er's project group time is now meeting its mid-journey, it's a good decision to hold a meeting to establish their roadmap and strategies, which are imperative for the group's long-term activities. These proposals were made to all of the agencies."

Wake One Entertainment then clarified that no agreement was reached yet. However, their discussions would still resume since Kep1er still has time for their group activities.

"Although we did our best to come to an arrangement, no agreement has yet been reached with all of the agencies. Kep1er still has time for their activities, so these discussions will continue.

Kep1er was formed from Mnet's survival program "Girls Planet 999," and is managed under Wake One Entertainment and Swing Entertainment. The group debuted on January 3, 2022, with their first mini album "First Impact" and its title track "WA DA DA."

They are a nine-membered group, comprised of Yujin, Xiaoting, Mashiro, Chaehyun, Dayeon, Hikaru, Huening Bahiyyih, Youngeun, and Yeseo. Kep1er has been given two and a half years for their contract, with its expected conclusion around June 2024.

In other news, Kep1er released the official MV teaser for their upcoming title track "Galileo" which is from their upcoming fifth mini album "Magic Hour." Apart from the main song, it will also include B-sides "The Door," "Love on Lock" "Tropical Light" and "Tape."
