Lee Jinwoo in 2019 to 2022: 'Produce X 101,' 'TEEN TEEN,' Debut in GHOST9

In 2019, Lee Jinwoo first made his name known for participating in Mnet's survival show, "Produce X 101," which created the boy group X1.

Upon his first appearance, the 15-year-old Jinwoo back then immediately captured the hearts of viewers and K-pop fans for his lovely and adorable charm and personality.

Due to this, he gained the nickname "Haenami," one of the reasons was also because he came from Haenam county, located in South Jeolla province of South Korea.

Initially, he earned mixed reactions for his skills but as the broadcast went on, he showed improved vocals and dance skills, leading his rise to the rankings as well.

While there is high expectation that he will debut and will be among the final 11 members, Jinwoo was unfortunately eliminated on Episode 11 and finished the show in rank #22.

Later on, it was revealed that Jinwoo was unfairly removed from the show due to voting manipulation. Because of the issue, X1 ultimately disbanded.

In the same year, he debuted under a trio group TEEN TEEN comprised of co-Produce X 101 trainees Lee Taeseung and Lee Woojin.

In 2020, Maroo Entertainment announced the disbandment of the group in preparation for their re-debut in an originally nine-member boy group called GHOST9.

What Happened to Haenami? Lee Jinwoo Shocks With Mature Visuals

Back in 2019, "Haenami" was loved for his cute and lovely appearance like a "little brother," but four years later, fans and netizens felt like proud parents after seeing his upgraded and more mature look now that he's 19!

Contrary to his chubby cheeks before, Jinwoo loses a significant amount of cheek fat, emphasizing his V-shaped face better. His side profile is also surprising!

Not only that, but his jawline became more prominent as well, and his Adam's apple was also showing.

Although he still got his cute charm, Jinwoo became more masculine, as evidenced by his muscular arms.

Upon seeing him, K-pop fans were surprised and left comments such as:

• "He looks like Song Joong Ki."
• "No, it feels like it's only yesterday. Our baby Haenami's already an adult."
• "Haenami, when did you grow up like this?"
• "Is this what they called 'glow up'?"
• "My baby is now an oppa."

Meanwhile, Jinwoo is still active as a GHOST9 member, and they received more popularity after joining JTBC's "Peak Time."
