Neverlands, Netters Shocked With Shuhua's Confession of Being 'NBSB'

Following the confession that Shuhua's relationship status is "NBSB" (No Boyfriend since Birth), viewers and fans (Neverlands) were surprised that the idol has never tried dating despite her top-notch beauty and popularity.

In fact, even before her debut, the Taiwanese-born idol Yeh Shuhua has been popular for her beauty and "Nation's First Love" aura that people were sure she had many suitors lining up for her to give them attention.

However, Shuhua denied this and said in a past interview that she wasn't actually popular among male students during her school days.

But in the past, the "Queencard" singer also talked about her first love, who turned out to be a schoolmate. At the time, she fell in love after experiencing a movie-like scene wherein the guy blocked a ball that was about to hit Shuhua while playing during their P.E.

She even revealed that she still has the guy's phone number, but with this recent confession, it's safe to say they didn't go out.

Following the revelation, viewers joked that she could be lying for entertainment purposes. But given Shuhua's honest personality, fans claim she's telling the truth, although hey emphasized that she could be single by choice, and not because no one has ever liked her before.

Here are some of the comments:

  • "Just watch it for entertainment. It may or may not be real."
  • "But I think Shuhua isn't lying. It's true."
  • "She has had no boyfriend since birth. How cute is this?"
  • "I think Shuhua is telling the truth. She's the type of a person with strong values and deep thoughts and she's not the type of person who talks as an idol."
  • "Shuhua is popular, but I don't know. Don't you think it was this? It's amazing that she said she wasn't popular when she was in school when she has that beauty and all."
  • "She's just 24, it's okay. If there's no one she likes, there's no need to force her to date."
  • "Shuhua looks like the real deal. She won't lie."
  • "It feels real because it's Shuhua. Instead of talking like a comedian on entertainment shows, I saw a lot of people saying confident things on Instagram and in some ways, I think she has a serious and intelligent personality.
  • It's not like she couldn't do it, but I feel like she won't do it because she has a high standard of looking at people. "
