Lisa Demanded To Leave BLACKPINK & South Korea for 'Tainting' Group's Image: 'She made them look dirty and cheap'

Following the "strip tease" performance at the Crazy Horse Paris, Koreans demanded Lisa to leave BLACKPINK and South Korea for "cheapening" the group's image.

BLACKPINK Lisa's Weibo Account Deleted in Aftermath of Crazy Horse Paris Show

After the R-19 performance at a French cabaret show, "Crazy Horse Paris," it seems like BLACKPINK's plan to expand in the Chinese market is far from their reach after Lisa was given a sanction in China for having a "strip tease" stage.

On November 1, Lisa's Weibo account, the main social media platform in China, was deleted in the aftermath of her "p*rn" show.

The idol posted some of her photos from the show wearing revealing 'fits, and opinions revealed that Lisa might have violated the rules in China where no entertainers should organize, participate, or promote pornography, gambling, drugs, violence and terrorism.

Although Lisa's participation in the cabaret was explained to be a medium to empower women and embrace their bodies, the show, where one must pay before watching it, was criticized by the Chinese for sexualizing women and promoting vulgar and obscene performances.

Another aftermath of Lisa's show was the rumors circulating that she was abandoned by luxury brands Bvlgari and Celine after both companies stopped posting about the idol and even her photos on their Weibo pages were deleted.

Although the luxury brands immediately denied this by posting Lisa's photos afterward, netizens still believe that her censorship in the country will leave a huge impact as the Chinese market accounts for a significant portion of global luxury and K-pop consumption.

K-Netz Demand Lisa to Withdraw from BLACKPINK & To Be Kicked Out in Korea

After hearing the aforementioned move of the Chinese market and various luxury brand partners of Lisa, Koreans demand South Korea and YG Entertainment to make a move as well.

According to netters, the Crazy Horse Paris stage of Lisa "tainted" and "cheapened" BLACKPINK's image.

  • "They were also excited about raising her because they thought she would turn out well."
  • "It's crazy to think of a celebrity doing a strip tease on stage, to think she's also a veteran (idol)."

"BLACKPINK entry in China is forever ruined because of Lisa. YG also said they opposed her from appearing on the show, but she stubbornly did it anyway and made huge losses to YG, shareholders, and employees.

It is likely to lose billions to tens of billions of dollars just by calculating various incomes such as concerts, album sales, and luxury advertisements.

On top of that, the image of K-pop and BLACKPINK is tarnished. Korean idols at least pretend to apologize at this point, but Lisa wrote on Instagram that she would run whenever she was called for another X-rated show."

Web users also emphasized that Lisa should just return to Thailand if she wanted to do a strip tease and leave South Korea due to cultural differences.

  • "After all, she's a Thai. In Thailand, they strip naked and do all kinds of promiscuous adult shows for a meal. Honestly, if this person wasn't in BLACKPINK, she might have been doing a nude show in Thailand. Who can stop you from doing what you like? I guess this is also a cultural difference.
  • "F*ck off to your country. This b*tch made BLACKPINK look dirty and cheap."
  • "Lisa is always the problem. YG should rather exclude Lisa and create a new BLACKPINK. Let's launch it."
  • "If it weren't for YG, she would have entered a small and medium-sized agency without a name and performed at a local marketplace and returned to Thailand or become an illegal immigrant at a massage shop."
