Xiyeon's Journey with PRISTIN, Group's Disbandment, Solo Career

Xiyeon is a former member of K-pop girl group PRISTIN and is currently an actress.

In 2016, Xiyeon participated in "Produce 101" in an attempt to join its famous project girl group "I.O.I." However, during the tenth episode, she was eliminated after placing No. 25. This didn't stop Xiyeon, as the former idol eventually debuted with PRISTIN on March 21, 2017.

But on May 24, 2019, agency PLEDIS Entertainment officially announced that PRISTIN has disbanded after inactivity and a thorough discussion with the members. Xiyeon was also one of the seven out of ten members who didn't renew their exclusive contracts under the agency.

On May 25, 2020, the former idol announced on her personal Instagram account that she would be debuting as an actress by appearing in the indie film "Sillim Man and Woman."

"I'm sorry if I had to greet everyone through an article. We're in the middle of arranging a promotional schedule with the film team when we announced it. I'm here to let you know that I'm going to be debuting as an actress!"

On July 3, news outlets reported that Xiyeon had signed an exclusive contract under Soo Yeon Kang Entertainment.

"Park Xiyeon's inclusion in the agency has delighted as. Because of her all-rounder skills and charms, Xiyeon has gained a lot of love in her activities and with this, we plan to offer Xiyeon our support to fully show her full potential."

Where is Xiyeon Now? Here's What We Know So Far

On November 14, Korean news outlet My Daily shared that Xiyeon, who goes by the actress name Park Si Yeon, has signed an exclusive contract with Saero Actors.

The agency also released an official announcement, welcoming Xiyeon as one of its new artists. Saero Actors also expressed how willing the agency on giving her the support she needs to flourish her acting careers.

"Park Si Yeon is an actress who have proven her potential even before debuting as a singer. She has appeared in 'Legendary Hometown - Gumiho,' numerous music videos, and many commercials as well.

We are happy to welcome Park Si Yeon, who is a talented actress. As a new member of our family we will continue to give her our full support, so she can show her limitless potential wholeheartedly in this field."
