Ju Haknyeon has temporarily halted his activities with the group according to agency IST Entertainment.

THE BOYZ Ju Haknyeon to Sit Out Activities Due to Back Pain, IST Releases Statement

On November 16, IST Entertainment uploaded an announcement on X (Twitter), declaring Ju Haknyeon's temporary halt to his activities due to health issues.

According to the agency's statement, Ju Haknyeon's back pain became worse after experiencing it for a while. This led the idol to visit a hospital on the 16th and went for a medical examination and was diagnosed with disc stenosis.

Consequently, Ju Haknyeon was advised to avoid strenuous activity in the meantime. This also meant that the idol would be taking some time off from THE BOYZ's upcoming November 20 comeback, as well as their encore concerts in December.

However, IST Entertainment assured fans that they will be updated once Ju Haknyeon is ready to rejoin the group and resume his schedule.

"Hello. This is IST Entertainment.

We are informing you of the current health status and future plans for THE BOYZ member Ju Haknyeon.

Ju Haknyeon had been experiencing back pain for a while, so he had been receiving examinations and treatment in a periodical timeframe. However, Ju Haknyeon visited a hospital on the afternoon of November 16 since the pain worsened.

Eventually, the doctor advised him to avoid huge movements and monitor his condition through treatment and physical rehabilitation due to symptoms of disc stenosis in his lower back area.

The agency plans to act accordingly, and we have decided to prioritize our artist's health. After an in-depth discussion with Ju Haknyeon, it was concluded that he would be temporarily halting all his schedules to focus on his recovery.

Thus, Ju Haknyeon wouldn't be able to participate in the promotional activities for 'THE BOYZ 2nd Album [PHANTASY] Pt. 2 Sixth Sense' on November 20, or their upcoming concert '2nd World Tour: ZENERATION - ENCORE.'

We will make a separate statement at a later date about the recovery progress of our artist and his return to his scheduled activities. This decision was made since we prioritize the health of our artist, and we ask fans for their consideration.

We would like to apologize to fans for concerning you with this abrupt update and we ask you all to encourage and support Ju Haknyeon.

In other news, THE BOYZ dropped their track clip for "[PHANTASY] Pt.2 Sixth Sense" on November 15. The upcoming album will have "Watch It" serve as the title track.

Moreover, the song will also include B-side tracks such as "Rat In The Trap," "Honey," "Bad Luck," "Crying & Laughter," and "Escape."
