"After the late Moonbin left, my life shook and collapsed..." In an interview, Rocky confessed his feelings after learning about Moonbin's passing. He also updated about his relationship with ASTRO.

Rocky Confesses How Moonbin's Death Shook His Life

On November 22, Rocky, former ASTRO member, heralded a solo career with his new EP "ROCKYST."

On the 23rd, the idol sat down with TenAsia and other K-media for an interview, commemorating his return to the music scene after leaving ASTRO in March.

During the interview, the media particularly asked him about his feelings on Moonbin's passing, a beloved co-member who passed while Rocky was on a temporary break from the entertainment scene.

The idol reminisced about the time with the late Moonbin.

"In the beginning, I was out of my mind. I treated him like an older brother, whom I've seen since I started my trainee life when I was in the 5th grade of elementary school.

Even now, I haven't been able to let him go completely. I think I only sent off half of him. I just wanted to keep seeing him.

We had a lot in common. We shared the hard and good things as much as we ran toward the same dream. As we also spent our trainee years together, we have a lot of memories we built together, even before other ASTRO members joined the company. We spent a long time being together."

Upon hearing the news, Rocky revealed his feelings at the time, confessing:

"Since he's like an older brother to me for a long time, my life was shaken and I was hit hard enough to collapse.

It was thanks to the people around me that I was able to pull myself to my senses. As time passed a little, I began to see the hard work of those around me. I had to get my act together."

Rocky also revealed that a week after Moonbin left, he appeared in his dream and expressed his love for him by working harder than before. The soloist also shared that he made a song dedicated to the late idol, which will be released later.

"I'm not a person who can bring him back, so I'm working hard right now with the idea of keeping it in my heart and continuing what we did together while promising to meet later.

[...] I also wrote a song for Moonbin, but I didn't include it in this album. It's such a sad song, that I'm going to release it a little later. I made it at the time."

Rocky Updates on Relationship With ASTRO

Regarding his former co-ASTRO members, Rocky despite leaving them attested to AROHAs (fandom) that they were still on good and close terms, just like before.

In fact, when Rocky launched his one-man agency, Onefineday Entertainment, the remaining members supported him.

"My ASTRO brothers came to the opening ceremony in October. I was moved that all the older brothers were there, too. Eunwoo hyung wasn't able to go because he was busy filming but he sent me a flower wreath. Fantagio also sent one. It was so touching. Both wreaths are still there."

Rocky continued:

"My brothers didn't go even though it was passed 3 to 4 a.m. Around 1 or 12 midnight, I hinted them to go slowly because I had to clean up all of those but they asked for a round 2. If we go to a restaurant, wouldn't I have to pay again? In the end, we ordered chicken.

Many people came to the opening ceremony to celebrate with me, and I was so proud that the members stayed until the very end."
