Among fourth-gen idols, THIS virtual girl group is gaining attention for their top-tier vocals, visuals and bop songs!

MAVE: Releases 1st Mini Album 'What's My Name'

On November 30, MAVE: finally made its return in the music scene with its first EP, "What's My Name"!

This is their first comeback in about 10 months after debuting with its single, "PANDORA's BOX" on January 25, 2023.

Even prior to its new release, the quartet received high anticipation as the title track with the same name is said to showcase their bold and eye-catching performance.

According to Netmarble F&C, the choreography of the song was participated by top crews and dancers, FREEMIND, Just Jerk's Jo Nain, and directed by MOTF.

The album then contains the journey of the MAVE: members to find their "true" selves. The album consists of a total of 5 songs including the b-side tracks, "Everyday," "Assemble," "Milkshake" and "So Fly."

Upon its release, MAVE: performed really well and showed its impact around the world by entering the top album charts in five countries including Thailand, Turkey, Russia, Canada and Germany.

As of December 1, MAVE's EP also entered Apple Music's Top Album charts in Cambodia ans Thailand.

Overwhelmingly, the quartet also broke the wall behind the largest music markets, after entering the top K-pop singles charts in four regions: Switzerland, Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States.

On YouTube, it impressively surpassed 2.7 million views in less day two days as well, truly a high achievement for a rookie girl group from a start-up company.

On social media platforms especially X, MAVE is also gaining more recognition after dropping their new album. K-pop fans were particularly impressed by their powerful vocals, on top of their well-selected track lists and visuals.

While fans of fourth-gen girl groups such as IVE, aespa, LE SSERAFIM, NMIXX and more debate on which group has the best vocals, some of the netters who listened to MAVE: claimed that the virtual group will sit atop if the topic is vocals.

Web users also lauded the people and team behind the CGI and Mo:Cap technology used to create the virtual girl group, which made the whole project wonderful.

On the other hand, MAVE: is a four-member virtual girl group comprised of SIU, ZENA, TYRA and MARTY. They debuted in January under Metaverse Entertainment, a collaboration between Netmarble and Kakao Entertainment launched in 2021.

The group's concept focused on a worldview wherein four entities from the future crash-landed on Earth in 2023, in search of freedom of emotion.
