The MelOn Music Awards 2023 was held on December 2, at 5 p.m., KST at the INSPIRE Arena, in Yeongjongdo, Incheon. Many artists attended the awards show to receive their trophies for the night and perform thrilling stages for enthusiastic fans as well.

In the long list of attendees, fourth-gen K-pop representative STAYC graced the red carpet with their black ensemble, emitting a lovely atmosphere.

However, the group's youngest member J stole the show for many Korean netizens. The maknae appeared in a formal, black outfit, and took everyone's attention with her actress visuals during the red carpet.

J's appearance at the segment sparked an online discussion among K-netz, who raved about the "Bubble" singer's actress-like beauty.

They also joked that due to her appearance, it seemed like J had attended the Blue Dragon Film Awards and not the 2023 MelOn Music Awards. Some even hoped that J would explore the acting field later in her career!

STAYC J Takes Break Due to Health Concerns, Agency Releases Official Statement

In other news, High Up Entertainment officially announced on November 29 that J would be taking a leave of absence due to back pain. The agency shared that J's health will be prioritized for her to come back in good health and meet fans again.

"STAYC member J would not participate in today's '2023 Korean Festival' due to back pain. Currently, J is taking her time to recover her health."

"By monitoring her condition, we will announce if she'll participate in the group's schedules or not. We ask for your understanding and will help J to recover as fast as possible by offering her our best efforts."
