Choi Minhwan Garners Support from K-Netz Following Divorce With Yulhee
On December 4, the 5-year married couple Yulhee and Choi Minhwan reported the news of their divorce through their personal SNS.
In the letter they respectively penned, the former couple expressed their intention to do their best as parents to their one son and twin daughters despite the bitter ending.

As many K-pop fans and K-netz cheered for their family when they were still together, a lot were saddened by the news and conveyed regrets.
Internet users especially have divided opinions about it, one getting all full support while the other one all the blame. People extended their support, particularly to Choi Minhwan, who took custody of his three children.
People were touched by his desire and commitment to raise his three children and become the best father so that they would not feel heartbroken.
This is amid his numerous domestic and international activities in able to provide the best for his family.
This December, his band F.T. Island is set to release a remake song and there is a flood of support as he shows the single dad's "hard work" move.
Not only fans, but his co-members Lee Hong Ki and Lee Jae Jin also sent public support by pressing "like" to his post.
Yulhee Criticized as Mother, Wife Amid Divorce
Amid this, some netizens can't help but criticize Yulhee, who failed to take her children's custody despite being the mother. Although she promised to visit them, fans wondered why she didn't get the right to raise her three kids, when it is usually the case, especially for young children.
As a defense, the ex-couple initially explained that their decision was in consideration of the kids, who have lived in Minhwan's house so far. This is to avoid possible psychological and impacts on them.

But haters were still skeptical that she would give up being with her kids because of that and brought back her past remark about being extravagant in spending money.
In a 2022 broadcast with kids counselor Oh Eun Young, the couple revealed their conflict over the education expenses of their three kids.
Yulhee revealed that she made Minhwan pay over 6k USD a month for basic education expenses such as English lessons and ballet education.

At the time, netizens also showed mixed reactions to Yulhee for spending that much for her kids who weren't even in grade school yet, and felt bad for Minhwan.
On the flip side, some parents supported Yulhee, explaining that it is not bad for mothers to decide what's best for their kids.
