RIIZE Seunghan's Banner Receives Mixed Reactions for Appearing in Group's 100 Days Fanmeeting

On December 17, RIIZE celebrated their 100 days with fanmeeting "2023 RIIZE 100 Days Party 'Hello, BRIIZE" at the Kwangwoon University Donghae Culture Arts Center Grand Theater, in Seoul.

The fanmeeting was full of surprises since RIIZE treated their loving fandom BRIIZE to numerous performances and activities during the event. The party was also memorable due to its winter theme, which matched the holiday season this 2023.

From performing Super Junior's song "Miracle" as the opening, to their tracks "Get A Guitar," "Memories," and many more, it was indeed a special day for both the group and fans.

However, not all reactions were positive over the fanmeeting because of one fan's actions. On the same day (December 17), a forum was established online which focused on inactive RIIZE member Seunghan.

According to the post, the author uploaded a picture of Seunghan's banner from the fanmeeting. The OP also left a distasteful remark over the photo saying, "I fu**ing hate this."

The comments were filled with mixed reactions from fans. Some agreed with the author and expressed the fan's decision to bring Seunghan's banner despite the idol's absence.

•  "He's not even there, why did she even go (to the fanmeeting)?"
•  "Just why? Seriously? He'll get even more hate by doing that."

But during the ongoing farce, many were also quick to defend the fan from negative comments. BRIIZEs argued that there was no need to call the banner out since Seunghan was still a RIIZE member, nonetheless. Read their comments below:

•  "But Seunghan, he's still in RIIZE, though. It's not like he withdrew from the group."
•  "As a fan who likes all seven of them, of course she'd go to the fanmeeting. What's wrong with bringing your bias' slogan there?"
•  "Even if my bias won't be attending, if I'm a fan of RIIZE, and I spent money on their fanmeeting, of course I'll go. What's even the issue here?"

International fans also joined the discussion and pointed out the hate came from akgaes (term for solo stan but hates other group members). Adding to their sarcasm and retaliation, they also upheld RIIZE as OT7, which means seven-membered group.

•  "Fans are even going to be even madder when they realize that the RIIZE members are OT7."
•  "The OP hates to see Seunghan but had an effort to save his picture."
•  "Akgaes could never understand that or any normal behavior lol."
•  "They can be salty all they want. RIIZE and BRIIZE are obviously still OT7 at the end of the day."
