In a recent press conference held at Conrad Seoul's Grand Ballroom, Yunho of TVXQ opened up about their memorable performance at the '2023 MAMA AWARDS' alongside SM Entertainment's junior group, RIIZE.

The event was organized to celebrate the release of TVXQ's 9th regular album, '20&2', on the occasion of their 20th debut anniversary.

Enlightening Experience Performing 'Rising Sun' with RIIZE

Yunho expressed his thoughts on the collaborative performance, stating, "It’s been a while since we performed on the ‘MAMA’ stage, and performing ‘Rising Sun’ with RIIZE was quite enlightening.

I learned about the exceptional physical abilities of our young juniors and also realized how seriously we still take our stage performances."

TVXQ, in celebration of their two-decade-long journey in the industry, showcased a special collaboration on 'Rising Sun' with RIIZE, an SM rookie boy group that made their debut just this September.

Yunho reminisced about his involvement with RIIZE during their trainee days, saying, "I gave a few lessons to the RIIZE members when they were trainees. Weren’t those little kids adorable? The collaboration was meaningful and well-coordinated."

Acknowledging RIIZE's Blend of Classical and Trendy Elements

Yunho expressed gratitude for RIIZE's dedication, acknowledging their efforts in blending classical elements with their unique style.

"They prepared diligently.I saw them blend classical elements with their style. I learned a lot from them. They mixed trendy and classic elements well. I’m thankful they enhanced our performance."

Praising RIIZE's Stamina and Energy

In an unexpected revelation, Yunho praised RIIZE's stamina and energy, highlighting their impressive jumping abilities.

He expressed hopes for their continued success, stating, "They had impressive jumping abilities and different energy. Their stamina was really good. I hope they continue to manage their fitness well and keep delivering great performances."

Changmin, adding a touch of humor, joked about RIIZE's seemingly endless energy, remarking, "Those kids seemed like they never ran out of breath. It was as if they had gills behind their necks."

On their 20th anniversary, TVXQ's 9th album, '20&2', marks a significant milestone, presenting fans with a collection of ten diverse tracks, including the title track 'Rebel'.

This release follows a five-year gap since their special album in December 2018, titled 'New Chapter #2: The Truth of Love'.
