BLACKPINK Members Not to Renew Individual Contracts for Solo Activities Under YG Entertainment
On December 29, YG Entertainment released an official announcement, declaring that BLACKPINK members Jisoo, Rosé, Jennie, and Lisa have decided not to renew their individual contracts which oversee their solo activities with the agency.
Since the group will not be signing any additional exclusive contracts for their solo endeavors, this would only make them eligible for promotions as a group under YG Entertainment.
Furthermore, the agency expressed support for BLACKPINK, as they go on with their solo plans in the future. Read the full statement here:
"Hello. This is YG Entertainment.
BLACKPINK has renewed their exclusive contracts earlier with YG Entertainment for the purpose of continuing their group activities. We have also agreed not to proceed with additional contracts for the members' solo activities.
We will do our utmost best to support BLACKPINK in their activities, and we will be rooting for each member in their individual activities with warm hearts.

Earlier on December 6, all four BLACKPINK members renewed their exclusive contracts with longtime agency YG Entertainment.
The update was indeed good news for BLINKs and the K-pop community, since the decision to renew finally ended all speculations for their renewal status.
"After discussing the matter with BLACKPINK members, exclusive contracts were signed to resume their activities as a group, and it was concluded based on trust."

This was followed by Jennie's surprising new chapter, when on December 24, the idol confirmed that she had established her new independent label called ODD ATELIER. The news was celebrated by BLINKs, who showered Jennie with love and support.
"I'm so thankful for all the love I've received, and I'm also excited about the future since I will start my solo journey in 2024 with a company that I have established called OA (ODD ATELIER)."
BLINKs Express Enthusiasm Over BLACKPINK's Decision Not to Renew Individual Contracts with YG
On X (Twitter), BLINKs voiced out their joy upon learning that BLACKPINK had dropped their solo contract renewals in YG.
