50 Most Popular K-pop Idols in December 2023 — Who Reigned the List?
Groups may collectively gain popularity during their activities, but they're still comprised of individual idols, who are well-loved by fans. To measure the buzz they made in December 2023, the Korean Business Research Institute released its brand rankings for individual idols.
The results were derived from data collected from November 30 to December 30. It was also determined through numerous factors such as community awareness, participation of consumers, artists' presence online, and their coverage in the media.
Among the Top 50, here are the Top 10 K-pop idols who made it on the list!
1. BLACKPINK Jennie
For December 2023, the last idol to dominate this particular list was Jennie of BLACKPINK, who received a brand reputation index of 4,031,041.
2. NewJeans Minji
Minji followed through with a brand reputation index of 3,862,250, claiming the No. 2 place.
3. Girls' Generation Taeyeon
Taeyeon finished in third place with a brand reputation index of 3,597,268.
4. ASTRO Cha Eun Woo
As for the fourth place, Cha Eun Woo of ASTRO made it after receiving a brand reputation index of 2,966,706.
5. BLACKPINK Lisa
The top five was completed by BLACKPINK's youngest member Lisa. According to the list, the maknae received a brand reputation index of 2,767,663.
6. NewJeans Hanni
Hanni saw a brand reputation index of 2,663,663 for December.
7. BLACKPINK Jisoo
With a brand reputation index of 2,485,045, Jisoo of BLACKPINK made it on No. 7.
8. BTS Jungkook
Jungkook received a brand reputation index of 2,367,226 for the month of December.
9. BTS Jimin
In No. 9, Jimin occupied the place with a brand reputation index of 2,275,099.
10. BTS V
Finally, we have BTS V, who garnered a brand reputation index of 1,905,025 and rounded up the Top 10.
