A survey was recently held to discover who the most influential person in Thailand is. The title has since been awarded to BLACKPINK's very own Lisa!

BLACKPINK Lisa Named Thailand's Most Influential Person

Suan Dusit University held a survey from December 20th to December 27th to discover who the most influential individual in Thailand is.

After analyzing the data, Lisa was named the most influential person in the country, garnering 28.1% of respondents' votes. For reference, the survey amassed 7,389 participants.

For the younger generation, Lisa is regarded as a national hero. The "LALISA" songstress's every move attracts wide-scale media coverage and social media traction in the country.

In 2021, Lisa mentioned her love for meatballs found at Buri Ram train station. She even gushed over the sauce in the dish.

The second most influential person in Thailand was Pita Limjaroenrat, the former leader of the Move Forward Party (MFP). He garnered 27.5% of the votes. Other top-rankers include Kanchai Kamnerdploy (22.6%), Paetongtarn Shinawatra (12.4%), the leader of the Pheu Thai Party and daughter of former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, and Anntonia Porsild (9.4%), who ranked second in the 2023 Miss Universe competition.

King Charles III awarded Lisa and her bandmates an Honorary Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) on November 22, 2023, at an investiture ceremony at Buckingham Palace. South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol was present as well.

Lisa and the rest of BLACKPINK extended their contracts for group activities on December 5. YG Entertainment stated that talks were still ongoing regarding the members' individual contracts.
