Red Velvet Recent Styling Draws Concern — Here's Why

Red Velvet is a group known for their hit-or-miss stage outfits. The group has become popular for their unique concepts, but that has also led to a plethora of questionable wardrobe choices.

Recently, the group's stylists have drawn criticism for dressing the members in outfits that do not suit them. Either their dresses are too short or no longer considered trendy. To compensate, it seems like Red Velvet is heavily relying on their stunning visuals to distract fans from their uncoordinated styling.

In early December, Red Velvet participated in the Lazada Festival Concert in Indonesia. There, Red Velvet's stylist drew flak for putting Joy in an excessively short hot pink dress. The dress also did not seem to fit her well, hugging her body too tight and making her appear chubbier than she actually is.

For New Year's Eye, Irene, Seulgi, and Wendy performed in the Philippines. During the event, Irene's stage outfit garnered negative reviews. She wore a short skirt with a bold red flower detail that hid Irene's slender figure. She wore a corset with a cream-colored top underneath, which many claimed did not match at all.

It was only Irene's face that saved the outfit.

Throughout Red Velvet's career, there were many occasions where the group's styling missed the mark in terms of being trendy and stunning, and even their visuals could not salvage the situation.
