Despite rave reviews NMIXX is getting for their new song "DASH," the girl group couldn't dodge the criticism for their "cheap-looking" 'fits.

On January 15, NMIXX got off to a flying start in 2024 with the release of their second mini-album, "Fe304: BREAK."

The album is comprised of a total of seven songs, including the title track "DASH," pre-release single "Soñar (Breaker," and b-sides "Run for Roses," "BOOM," "Passionfruit," "XOXO," and "Break The Wall."

Upon release, NMIXX impressed K-pop fans with their upgraded music quality and skills, proving why they deserve to be called a "Hexagonal girl group" and one of the "4th-gen best girl groups."

Listening to their tracks and seeing their performance, NMIXX served high-quality vocals, rap, dance skills, visuals, and aura undoubtedly worthy of opening in the year 2024.

However, there is one detail that failed to impress K-pop fans about NMIXX - and that is their unchanging "tacky" outfit coordination.

To commemorate their mini-album release, NMIXX attended a press showcase which was held at the Sofitel Ambassador Seoul Hotel & Serviced Residences in Songpa-gu, Seoul on the same day.

On this day, the sextet appeared wearing bright red & black-themed outfits. They also showed a combination of stripe patterns and leather outfits. Three of the members were then seen wearing bonnets with cat ears and horns.

When their photos are circulated online, some netters find the members cute with their outfits.

However, more fans expressed disappointment because NMIXX was still given "tacky" clothes that "didn't match" their good song, concept, and visuals.

K-Netz React to NMIXX's Comeback Showcase Outfits

In an online community, an internet user took to Nate Pann to share their disappointment, and wrote the article, titled "Is NMIXX coordi really sane?"

The OP added:

"Highlighting only what the members are lacking and is the concept 'Reply 2002' red devil?"

Upon uploading the post, it garnered over 160k views and 530 recommendations, with netizens criticizing NMIXX's coordi for the members' outfits.

They pointed out that the outfits' colors are not only bad, but the selection of the ensemble per member only highlighted what they are lacking, such as their height and body size.

For example, Sullyoon has a pretty body ratio, but looking at her showcase snaps, her legs look chubbier and shorter.

K-netizens left comments such as:

• "This coordi problem seems to be that they only think what kind of clothes to wear when dressing them up, but do not consider how to actually dress them that will cover the members' shortcomings (body shape) and look pretty."
• "But the concept of 'DASH' and that outfit don't go well together. The casual semi-suit you wore in the MV suits you well, but why are you dressed like that? The slightly androgynous look went well with the song."

• "The coordination is actually okay, but the clothes' texture looks cheap. It is really a skill to make Sullyoon's legs look short in this coordination."
• "They made a good song this time, but the coordi ruined it."
• "They look like a ladybug."
• "Seriously, it looks like a drawing I used to draw when I was in elementary."
