NMIXX Sullyoon Earns Pity: Did She Want to Debut in a Group Like TWICE?

On the 15th episode of Rain's YouTube show "Season B Season," it was revealed that Sullyoon was accepted as a trainee by the Big 3 companies: SM Entertainment, JYP Entertainment, and YG Entertainment.

Though she was accepted by different labels, she ended up signing with JYP Entertainment. When asked why, Sullyoon revealed it is because she is a huge fan of TWICE, namely Sana.

Following the airing of the episode, a post titled "Seriously, Sullyoon is too pitiful" was uploaded to a popular South Korean online community forum. In the post, they shared their pity for Sullyoon, who joined JYP Entertainment, loving a group like TWICE, who does refreshing and bright concepts.

Many wondered if she joined the company hoping to debut in a group like TWICE, only to end up with NMIXX, a group known for hard performances and experimental music.

Additionally, TWICE's stage outfits are known for being pretty and feminine. Meanwhile, NMIXX's outfits are stronger, with the author even describing their clothes as "classless." Many feel this does not suit Sullyoon's image.

It was also pointed out that Sullyoon is the most famous member of NMIXX, thanks to her visuals. Despite that, JYP Entertainment rarely gives her the center position in group photos.

In fact, in nearly all of NMIXX's promotional content, she is put in the corner. Members like Kyujin, Haewon, or Jiwoo tend to take the center position more often.

People who saw the post could not help but agree. People believe that Sullyoon, who earned fame for her innocent and youthful look, does not match NMIXX's strong concept. Instead, she matches TWICE's concept more. People wish she could have debuted in a group with a bright concept instead.

Others believe JYP Entertainment should be pushing more solo activities for Sullyoon. People state she has the potential to be a CF fairy, similar to Jang Wonyoung. Instead, she only does advertisements with her group, and she has no solo contracts or activities.

• "If only they saved Sullyoon and Yuna (ITZY) and debuted them in a second TWICE. They would have hit the jackpot."
• "Sullyoon's face does not suit NMIXX's image. Her face cannot pull off the concept. She would have suited a group like TWICE."
• "Honestly speaking, they should push her for solo activities. Seriously, she could be a CF fairy. Seeing how they lumped her in with the other NMIXX members for one CF and gave her no solo schedules is seriously frustrating."
