Earlier on March 5, Korean news outlets disclosed that Taemin, alongside Onew, had departed from longtime agency SM Entertainment. While Onew is reported to be leaving the agency in 2024's first half, Taemin's departure would be at the end of March.
Afterwards, the "MOVE" singer addressed the news through Bubble, expressing how he has already been thinking about leaving the company since 2023.
