TEMPEST Hanbin Celebrates International Women's Day

On March 8, 2024, TEMPEST member Hanbin shocked internet users by publicly celebrating International Women's Day.

Previously, on March 7, Hanbin stated that March 8 was Women's Day in Vietnam. However, on the day itself, he corrected himself and stated that it was International Women's Day.

He then wished TEMPEST's female fans a happy International Woman's Day. He then sent a message that read, "I have a video for you to celebrate this happy day." Along with an emoji of a bouquet of flowers, Hanbin sent a video featuring beautiful pink flowers.

Hanbin also changed his Bubble profile picture to show him holding flowers.

Additionally, Hanbin took to TEMPEST's official Twitter to post a photo of him with flowers, as well as beautiful snapshots of the flowers. He captioned the post with, "My love, iEs, please have a happy day today. Happy International Women's Day."

On the same day, a post titled "TEMPEST Hanbin's update (International Women's Day)" was uploaded to a popular South Korean online community forum.

The original poster (OP) gave more information on the situation, saying that International Women's Day and Vietnam Women's Day (celebrated on October 20) are considered important days.

This is most likely the reason why Hanbin has been openly celebrating the day. It was noted that on these days, Hanbin has consistently been uploading pictures of flowers; even when he was a trainee!

K-Netizens Praise TEMPEST Hanbin for Celebrating International Women's Day

Several Korean netizens flocked to the comment section to share their thoughts on the situation.

Many people expressed their happiness that a male idol would celebrate a day celebrating women. They claimed that he was likeable and praised the idol for his sweet actions. K-netz stated that his actions warmed their hearts.

Korean women joked that because of his stage name, they thought he was a gyopo (ethnic Koreans raised in the West). However, they stated that his actions made more sense after discovering he was a foreigner.
