After leaving SM Entertainment, SHINee Onew, who was on a hiatus for a year, announced his return to the music scene under a new label, GRIFFIN Entertainment.

Along with the announcement, the idol's profile photos were also unveiled, showing a healthier appearance.

SHINee Onew Signs With GRIFFIN Entertainment, Becomes Label's First Artist

After being MIA in the K-pop scene for a year, SHINee Onew, who was under SM Entertainment for 16 years, signaled his new start under a new agency.

He signed with GRIFFIN Entertainment, a newly-established agency. The name of the company was inspired by the guardian animal with the same name, which protects jewels in any adversity.

The aim of the agency is to protect artists who shine with their own colors and provide a strong support system to help them blossom with their talents and capabilities.

With the happy news, Jang Moon Seong, the CEO of GRIFFIN Entertainment, also gave a congratulatory message to the idol, who became their first-ever artist.

"We are delighted to be a part of Onew's new beginning. We will spare no effort in providing active support in various ways so that GRIFFIN Entertainment can become a haven for artists."

SHINee Onew Stuns in New Profile Photos

Along with the news, GRIFFIN also dropped SHINee Onew's new profile photos, his first official photos in about a year since he took a hiatus to recover his health.

At the time, he drew concern for his drastic weight loss and tired appearance, amid his promotions of his solo album.

As his health continued to deteriorate, he sat down from SHINee's supposed 15th debut anniversary celebration and full group comeback after Taemin's military service.

Fortunately, Onew seemed to gain his health back and in his new profile photos, he drew attention for his healthier appearance.

The idol exudes both softness and charisma that can be felt in his serious gaze while looking warm & stylish in his cozy knit outfit.

Onew, the main vocalist of SHINee debuted in 2008 and rose into stardom for their hits, "Replay," "Lucifer," "Sherlock," "Juliette," "View," and more.

Since then, he has actively engaged in music activities not only as a group member but also as a solo artist.

Onew has so far released two mini albums, including "VOICE" and "DICE," and one full-length album, "Circle." He solidified his position as a vocalist with both popularity and fandom by holding solo concerts across Korea and Japan.

After developing his unrivaled presence in the world of music, he also challenged a career in the field of acting.

Under the new company, SHINee Onew is expected to showcase his power and influence as a top-tier vocalist and legendary K-pop icon from the second-gen era, on top of challenging various activities outside the music scene.
