Korean netizens discuss the center position of UNIS, with many wondering if Elisia is the holder of that role.

Back in January 2024, Elisia made history as the first Filipina to take home first place on a Korean survival show. She secured her spot in the debut line-up before the finale of "Universe Ticket," after she claimed the "P" ranking and earned herself a Prism ticket, ensuring her spot in the group.

Since then, the group has debuted as UNIS. But who is the center?

Is Elisia The Center of UNIS?

In April 2024, several posts were made on South Korean online community forums discussing Elisia's role in the group.

In these posts, Korean netizens are questioning why Elisia is not given center treatment despite ranking first on "Universe Ticket." It was noted that in group photos, Seowon or Kotoko are placed in the center. Meanwhile, Filipina members Elisia and Gehlee Dangca are often placed on opposite sides.

There is not a single official photo of the group where Elisia is placed in the center. If it's not Seowon or Kotoko in the center, the spot is often given to Nana. Fans noted that Nana and Kotoko were the producer's picks during their time on "Universe Ticket."

It was also noted that, despite being a confident vocalist, Seowon and Nana had more lines than Elisia on the "WE UNIS" album. Additionally, all the ad-libs were done by Seowon. Overall, Elisia ranked third among the eight members.

Should Elisia Be The Center of UNIS? K-Netz React

Those who saw the post gave mixed reactions, however.

While some agreed that Elisia should be in the center position, they noted it's a hard title to hold and it should not automatically be given to the first-place winner. Instead, it should be given to the person who can handle being in the center the most.

Others wondered if being in first place automatically assured them more center time and lines. It was noted that Jeon Somi and Kang Daniel, who ranked first for their respective "Produce" seasons and were the centers of I.O.I and Wanna One, respectively, often received fewer parts than their groups. It was also noted that the ones who didn't rank first are having more successful careers now.

People also commented that if it doesn't bother Elisia, then it should not bother the community.

• "I don't think she would have debuted if she wasn't a professional, so there's no reason for us to be busy with their matters."
• "It's hard to be a center, regardless of rank."
• "No, but in 'Universe Ticket,' Elisia ranked first. So why are Seowon and Kotoko centers? Isn't this too much? Elisia, go to a better agency. F&F is too much."
