On April 29, Weibo was abuzz with reports that Tao proposed to his supposed girlfriend, Xu Yiyang. A Chinese netizen claimed to have seen Tao dressed in fancy clothing in a high-end hotel in Lijiang, Yunnan.

The artist was seen with his friends, being led by a staff member to a private area.

Soon, photos of Tao wearing a white suit spread on social media. Tao was seen hiding in the forest, smiling excitedly as he chatted with his friends. Many people suspect that this is a leaked image from the location where Tao proposed to Xu Yiyang.
