After initial speculations that her father is an executive under SM Entertainment, THIS idol revealed her family background in a show.

In the preview clip for the next broadcast of TV Chosun's "With Father and Me," WJSN Soobin revealed the identity of her father for the first time since her debut.

In particular, since the star joined WJSN as its main vocalist in 2015, it has been a long presumption that Soobin's father works as an insider in the entertainment scene.

However, it is not covered in detail due to her wish to be recognized for her skills, and not because she has a good family background and an influential father.

In the show then, Park Tae Hyun, the idol's biological dad introduced himself:

"Hello, this is Soobin's father, Park Tae Hyun. What I am currently doing is (working) as the general director of SM Entertainment Media and the head of SM C&C Management."

SM C&C is home to top-tier broadcasters including Kang Ho Dong, Jeon Hyun Moo, Seo Jang Hoon and Kim Jun Hyun.

Prior to working as an SM executive, Park was well-known in the public as Kang Ho Dong's long-time manager. Soobin's father's face was first revealed while working with the TV personality famous for his shows, "2 Days & 1 Night" and "New Journey to the West."

Meanwhile, the two got to work together as both were traditional wrestlers who had senior and junior relationships in their hometown Masan, hereinafter Changwon, Gyeongsangnam-do.

When Kang Ho Dong entered the Korean entertainment world, he brought Park Tae Hyun as his manager and the latter handled him for 29 years before being promoted to head & general director.

Going back to his relationship with daughter Soobin, the female idol hinted at their close friend-like father-daughter chemistry and said:

"It felt like there's a girl living inside my dad's body. He likes to chitchat and watch dramas with me. He's a father that is as comfortable as a friend."

When Jeon Hyun Moo saw this, he was surprised to see a new side of their CEO and commented:

"Can the CEO be this good?"

The full episode of TV Chosun's "With Father and Me" will be aired on May 29.

On the other hand, Soobin, who is active as the main vocalist of WJSN is currently working for the musical "Natasha, Pierre and The Great Comet of 1812" (also known as "The Great Comet) along with her co-member Yeonjung, MONSTA X Shownu and VIXX Leo.

Soobin plays the role of the main character Natasha, a pure and lovely woman who misses her fiancé, Andrey, who participated in the war.

 The musical will be performed at the Universal Arts Center in Neung-dong, Seoul until June 16.
