BTS leader RM recently sparked concern among ARMY fans after he spoke about disbandment during a candid livestream on Dec. 6.

During the broadcast, which streamed on the global fan platform Weberse, RM said disbandment has crossed the minds of the members multiple times, especially during difficult periods.

"I've wondered tens of thousands of times whether it would be better to disband or to put the group on hold," he said.

However, the leader emphasized that the bond between members and their respect for fans ultimately kept the group together.

"The reason we continue as a team is because of the love we have for each other, and the love and respect we have for everyone watching this live broadcast," he added.

In the livestream, RM also addressed delays in releasing new material, explaining that preparation for their anticipated comeback is underway. He also said there was a huge pressure of making sure that the material they put out will "truly satisfy" fans and further explained that he has been struggling to sleep because of the preparations.

That said, he assured fans that preparations for the new album are going well and that it is "almost ready." He also said the group had practiced together last Friday.

"I'm eager to perform as soon as possible," he said.

On the subject of Jungkook's dating rumors involving aespa's Winter, RM took a notably different approach. Rather than directly addressing the speculation, he spoke candidly about the evolving roles and boundaries within BTS. He emphasized that as all seven members are now in their 30s, each has become a fully independent individual with distinct boundaries, lifestyles, and private lives.

"What I really want to say is that I can no longer represent our team on my own. That's because I'm just one person, one human being," he said, adding that dating rumors should be addressed directly by the person involved.

BTS's last full-group comeback was in 2022 with the anthology album "Proof," which celebrated their nine-year journey. The album also marked their final comeback before members began mandatory military service, which paused collective activities.
