Waker member Saebyeol and GHOST9 member Lee Woojin have been confirmed to star as leads in the upcoming Korean BL drama "Love Class 3," which is set to premiere in the first half of 2026.

The announcement marks a significant milestone for Korean BL dramas, as "Love Class 3" becomes the first series in the history of Korean BL productions to be renewed for a third season.

The drama's previous seasons ranked number one on domestic streaming platform Watcha and on international platforms, including Rakuten Viki in Japan and GagaOOLala in France, according to allkpop. The first season premiered in May 2022 with six episodes, followed by the second season in August 2023 with 10 episodes.

The third season will focus on the struggles and passions of young people striving to become K-pop idols, blending romance with the competitive music industry. Saebyeol will portray an aspiring idol, a role that allows him to draw on his real-life experience as an active K-pop performer. He will be joined by Lee Woojin of GHOST9, newcomer Seo Yi-han, and Thai actor Panutuch Saelee in the cast, k-hallyunews reported.

The casting is notable as it is rare for active members of different idol groups to co-star in a BL series. Both Saebyeol and Lee Woojin previously participated in the survival show "Produce X 101." "Love Class 3" is scheduled for simultaneous broadcast in over 190 countries worldwide.

The drama announcement coincides with Waker's recent comeback. The group released their third mini album, "In Elixir: Spellbound," on January 8, 2026, with the title track "LiKE THAT." Saebyeol is expected to balance his promotional activities for the album with his filming schedule for the drama, as per Sports Khan.
