'Se7en and Sangchu Visited The Massage Parlor For Medical Purposes' Claims South Korean Army's PR Agency

The Defense Media Agency for the South Korean Army is claiming that two of its most famous soldiers, singers Sangchu from the group Mighty Mouth and Se7en, were visiting an erotic massage parlor after curfew last month out of necessity.

"Se7en and Sangchu visited the massage parlor for medical purposes," a representative from the army agency told the publication CJ E&M enewsWorld.

The two stars both served in the army as public service agents, prompting a current investigation into the the way the army's entire PR program is managed.

On Monday, Se7en and Sangchu were back at the massage parlor where the trouble started for them, again not in uniform.

Only this time, it was apparently to assist in the investigation, a source told Star News.

"Sangchu and Se7en came back to the particular massage parlor with other military persons concerned, wearing regular clothing like the time they were first spotted," the source said. "They reenacted what happened on that night."

Although a representative from the Ministry of National Defense refused to discuss the specifics, they did confirm that military investigators visited the alleged erotic massage parlor on Monday.

"It is true that an investigation is underway at that location," the representative said Tuesday.

The army official advised caution before drawing conclusions about Se7en, Sangchu or the PR agent program as a whole.

"The schedules of the announcements and charges to be pressed can differ according to the results of the audit," the rep said. "As for now, we can′t reach any conclusions yet."

The investigation is slated to be wrapped up by Friday.

Trouble started for the two singers when cameramen from the Seoul Broadcasting System (SBS) program "Scene 21" appeared to capture the soldiers sneaking out of their living quarters and drinking before visiting the massage parlor.

The soldiers were seen leaving their hotel at 10 p.m. on the evening of June 19, dressed in civilian clothes, in itself a breach of military protocol, according to the publication Soompi.

The episode aired last week.

"We are currently investigating current celebrity recruits Se7en and Sangchu entering an adult entertainment establishment after their performance," read a National Defense Media Agency official statement that came shortly after the incident came to light, according to the website allkpop.

"[One of the two stars] has a bad back and a bad knee, so he went to get it treated."

When asked why the other singer had visited the massage parlor known for giving out sexual release for massage clients or "happy endings," the army spokesperson had no comment.

"If these allegations turn out to be true, they will be handled accordingly within the law," the army media rep said.
