Man Of Steel 2 Cast Rumors: Bryan Cranston, Josh Brolin, And Did Christian Bale Reject $50 Million By Warner Bros.?

As Man of Steel 2 goes into its search for the cast, rumors are surfacing regarding Bryan Cranston, Josh Brolin, and Christian Bale continues to be the sought after by Warner Bros.

Despite the Man of Steel 2 cast rumors being primarily over the actor playing Batman, "Breaking Bad" star Bryan Cranston has voiced his interest in playing Lex Luthor during a recent Digital Spy interview.

"Give me a call. I like Lex Luthor. I think he's misunderstood. He's a loveable, sweet man," says Cranston regarding the Lex Luthor role.

Reportedly, another strong contender for the Man of Steel 2 role is Mark Strong, but will Bryan Cranston be a better choice?

But as far as Batman is concerned, Josh Brolin continues to be a top contender according to reports.

According to Moviefone, Man of Steel 2 will seek an older actor than Henry Cavill to portray Batman in his 40's, and Josh Brolin seems like the perfect choice.

Other names amongst the Man of Steel 2 cast rumors include Ryan Gosling and Joe Manganiello ("True Blood").

But perhaps even more desired than Josh Brolin is the man who has embodied the role before: Christian Bale.

Despite saying he will move on from the Dark Knight after the Christopher Nolan trilogy, Warner Bros. is attempting to lure back the actor for Man of Steel 2.

Reportedly, the studio has offered $50 million for Bale to reprise his role, but so far, nothing has been confirmed as to whether Bale accepted this sum.

"I have no information, no knowledge about anything. I've literally not had a conversation with a living soul. I understand that they may be making a Justice League movie, that's it," says Bale according to EW.

"It's a torch that should be handed from one actor to another. So I enjoy looking forward to what somebody else will come up with."

Still, if rumors are true, can someone truly turn down $50 million?
