Olivia Newton-John’s Home Is Crime Scene; Middle Aged Man Found Dead of Apparent Self-Inflicted Gunshot Wound

The body of a middle aged man was found at the home of Olivia Newton-John, “Grease” actress and best-selling singer, according to published reports. Police found the body of the unidentified man around noon today at Olivia Newton John’s home in Jupiter, Fla. Police are investigating the incident.

Police believe the man committed suicide with a gun. Olivia Newton-John and her husband, John Easterling were not at home and contractors were doing work on the house. The Palm Beach Post reported that one of the contractors was spotted crying after the body was discovered.

Jupiter Police Department spokesman Sgt. Scott Pascarella says that the man did not live at the residence and is not related to the couple. Pascarella told ABC news that the man was 42 years old but that his name will not be released until after an autopsy can be performed. The police did confirm that the deceased male suffered from a gunshot wound. The autopsy will be performed Tuesday morning.

Sgt. Pascarella said the man was one of the contractors hired by the homeowners.
