Samsung Galaxy S5 release date rumors are officially in the tech news mill as numerous rumors and speculations on upcoming phones are entering a fever pitch period. There are a lot of predictions that September could be the biggest month for tech as new Samsung and Apple gadgets are expected to hit the market.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 release date may or may not be in 2013. Many are expecting this new line of Samsung product to be released next year. However, S4 sales are quickly sinking and Asia’s biggest tech company, who has been busy chipping away market share from Apple, will be forced to launch a new S-line later this year.

Samsung has not given any indication nor comments on the possibility of a Samsung Galaxy S5, but if history will be our guide and based on when previous and the current S-series has been released, the new line may hit the market by April or May 2014. This is adverse to what could be an earlier release date of 2013 if S4 sales keep shrinking.

In terms of specs, rumors have it that the Samsung Galaxy S5 will have 3GB of RAM, breaking through the standard 2 GB. The South Korean tech giant has reportedly began the mass production of the first low-power 3GB DDR3 RAM chips for mobile devices and if this tends to be true, then we can expect the same 3GB chips in the S5 too.

The blog GalaxyS5News.com said that the S5 will surely have 16 MP camera sensors and will probably run on 3500 mAh battery for longer life.

Saqib Khan of the blog ValueWalk reported that a spokesperson from Samsung said that “a new ultra-slim memory solution will enable thinner smartphone designs and allow for additional battery space, while offering a data transfer speed of up to 2,133 megabits per second (Mbps) per pin.”

Earlier in the month, a new Samsung patent was reportedly leaked which shows an angle-edged phone. It is believed to be the sketch for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5. Concept renditions of the anticipated new version have already popped up in the blogosphere.

It is assumed that the Samsung Galaxy S5 will run on the newest Android version at the time and in the event the company does launch this year, the S5 will have the Jelly Bean Android 4.3 out of the box.
