2NE1 Featured On So You Think You Can Dance: First K-Pop Artist To Be Selected For Fox Competition!

Despite being a Korean musical act, K-Pop sensation 2NE1 graced U.S. hit series "So You Think You Can Dance" last night to great success.

2NE1 debuted its hit single (and arguably its most successful song as well) "I am the Best" in 2011, and during the "So You Think You Can Dance" Top 8 episode, choreograph Mark Kanemura decided to use the song for a futuristic pop jazz number.

Even better, the choreography and the dance number received a standing ovation, with great compliments from the judges.

"At a time when choreography is all starting to blend...this was fantastic!" raved Nigel Lythgoe on Mark's vision.

"I know we both love the same woman: Lady Gaga. You should now not be her number one dancer, you should be her number one choreographer."

And 2NE1 is reaping all the reward of being featured on such an awesome routine on the Fox program.

"2NE1's 'I Am The Best' is now #9 and #85 on the US iTunes Electronic Charts," wrote SeksmMeh MorePls on YouTube.

"A REAL PROOF THAT 2NE1 IS REALLY POPULAR IN AMERICA! DAEBAK TO MY LADIES. LONG LIVE I AM THE BEST! THANK'S FOR FEATURING SYTYCD ," ranted JuleKenette Pasadilla over the "So You Think You Can Dance" feature.

Currently, 2NE1 is preparing its upcoming album, with several new singles being released over the course of several months.
