After rumors flew around on Tuesday that N'SYNC will be reunited at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards, all the boy band members kept quiet except Lance Bass.




Speaking on his Sirius XFM radio show, entitled "Dirty Pop," Bass suggested that his Grammy-winning buddy Justin Timberlake receiving the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award at the show may have something to do with all the speculation of the group getting back together.




"Now I have to address the rumors, of course. This morning I woke up to a lot of rumors flying that the *NSYNC reunion is happening after eleven years at the VMAs this Sunday. Well, let me tell you how this all came about. Justin Timberlake is getting the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award this Sunday at the awards, so of course people are automatically going to think we’re going to be there performing, but this is exactly how it happened and I knew these rumors were going to fly," said Bass on his show Tuesday night.




He included that all the commotion could've came along when he posted a picture on Instagram of him with other former bandmates Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick in Miami over the weekend at Justin Timberlake's "Legends of the Summer" tour with Jay-Z.








Bass never confirmed whether the allegations were true or not. Ever since Tuesday morning, he has been coining the gossip as "rumors."

Still, he is happy to see N'SYNC make such an imprint on social media.




"It’s amazing to see the reaction out there on Twitter and social media of how many people really are supporting *NSYNC," said Bass. "It’s so nice to see because when we ended things ten years ago, there was no social media. There was no Twitter fans, that type of stuff, but it’s so cute to see how many people are supporting it and *NSYNC was even trending."




The VMAs air Sunday night on MTV.
