JYJ Hong Kong Concert Scam: Fans Beware!

Bad news for JYJ fans in Hong Kong - it seems the rumors that the group will be holding a concert in the city are nothing but a scam.

On Tuesday, CJeS Entertainment, the agency that represents JYJ, warned fans of a concert ticket scam currently underway where passes for a non-existent concert in Hong Kong are being sold online.

The notification was spread through the label and group's various social media platforms including their official Facebook pages and Twitter.

"Warning! Recently tickets are being sold by an unknown source in the market under the name 'JYJ's concert in HONG KONG.' For now, JYJ doesn't have plans to hold a concert in Hong Kong. Do not buy a ticket that is not confirmed by C-JeS," wrote a rep for the company.

The situation was brought to the attention of the agency after they had received several peculiar emails inquiring about the show.

One source at C-JeS said that similar scams have happened in the past where fans had been tricked into purchasing expensive concert tickets for concerts that were never scheduled.

Fans should be reminded that only tour information released through the the company's official sources should be trusted as true.

Last month, Cube Entertainment experienced a similar scam regarding overseas concerts for its idols and issued a similar warning to their fans via Facebook.
