YG Rep Claims Big Bang Singer Taeyang's 'Ringa Linga' Choreography Will Be 'Something Completely And Absolutely New'

When Big Bang member Taeyang releases his second solo album "Ringa Linga" on Friday, fans can expect to see a new side of the singer in the accompanying video, according to representatives for his record label YG Entertainment.

In a press release published to the label's website on Thursday, YG Entertainment promised Taeyang's dance moves on "Ringa Linga" are a "completely different style than the previous ones."

The label big wigs were reportedly were so impressed after seeing the choreography on the Big Bang singer's new single that they decided to change their initial promotional plan and release a video of the choreography first.

"This is a plan strategized based on the confidence we have for the performance," one unnamed YG representative said.

"Until now Taeyang's choreography was shaped by a story, but this time something completely and absolutely new will be disclosed to the public."

"It is known that the best dancers in the USA took part in the recording of Taeyang's dance video," another YG rep added.

"So many people have high expectations for what choreography Taeyang, who is recognized as one of the best dancers in Korea, will show with the best dancers from overseas."

"Ringa Linga," the first solo single Taeyang has released in three years, will feature the composing skills of the singer's Big Bang bandmate G-Dragon.

A close friend of Taeyang since the two were 13-year-old trainee's together, the rapper wrote and produced "Ringa Linga."

In addition to being the leadoff single for Taeyang's new release, the song was also selected as the title track.

Last week, a representative for Big Bang's record label explained why G-Dragon's active role in making Taeyang's new single is noteworthy.

"As a producer, G-Dragon has composed countless songs for Big Bang and also for himself, but him being involved in writing and composing the song for Taeyang's title track is unprecedented," the rep said.

"Taeyang and G-Dragon's friendship goes way back to 13 years ago, when they were just young boys of 13 who were recruited at YG Entertainment.  Fans are excited to see what the symbol of 13-year-old friendship would look like when it is reborn as a song."

2013 has been a big year for Big Bang solo releases so far, with singer Seungri's solo album "Let's Talk About Love" dropping in August and G-Dragon's wildly successful double album "Coup D'Etat coming out in September.
