Grammy Award Winning Stevie Wonder to Attend MAMA 2013 in Hong Kong November 22nd!

Stevie Wonder, legendary and topnotch pop musician, is confirmed to be attending and performing at the MAMA 2013 in Hong Kong. In a line-up that already includes big names in K-pop such as Big Bang, 2NE1 and Crayon Pop, the inclusion of the world-reknown artist leaves another mark for the MAMA awards franchise.

Now, MAMA is definitely more than just an awards show. An official press release from CJ E&M, producers of MAMA, stated that Stevie Wonder "expressed interest xpressed interest in participating in the show based on his deep interest in the theme of 2013 MAMA, 'Music Makes One'".   For the same release, Shin Hyung Kwan, Head Executive of 2013 MAMA says of Wonder's attendance, "As Stevie Wonder's appearance this year demonstrates, 2013 MAMA is much more than a simple music awards show, but a true festival uniting Asia through music and culture, and promoting a message of hope throughout the world."

Stevie Wonder is respected within music circles for his genius talent, being the genius mind and voice behind the hits such as "I Just Called To Say I Love You", "Isn't She Lovely" and the most covered song in Korea "Lately".  Wonder is not a stranger to the Korean audience, as he packed Seoul Olympic Park with a sold-out performance to 10,000 fans, shattering all attendance records at the venue.  Stevie Wonder desires to promote peace and harmony in Asia through his appearance at 2013 MAMA.

True to its theme of unity through music, 2013 MAMA also announced the appearance of hottest male duo, Ylvis, from Norway and the electronica-pop female duo, Icona Pop, from Sweden.  Their attendance rounds up a truly global list of performers.

MAMA is Asia's premiere music festival.  This year, it will be held at the Asia World Expo in Hong Kong on November 22nd.
