Songs Rated ‘19 And Over’ Differ By Gender - Girl’s Day & Dal Shabet Vs. Gary

In 2014 it seems that the leading trend is to release songs that are suggested for mature audiences 19 and over. Girl groups are successfully incorporating sexy marketing into their strategies, and have ranked number 1 with their sexiness. But it didn't end there. Even male singers can use sex appeal to attempt at ranking number 1 on music charts. Even still, male and female singers have different expressions of sexy.

On the 3rd Girl's Day came back with a new album. The stage attire and performance are reminiscent of Park Ji Yoon's "Coming of Age." They put on a sensual performance that highlighted their bodies to capture the public's attention. As a result, their title song "Something" helped them take home the number 1 trophy on a number of broadcast music programs.

Dal Shabet had their comeback on the 8th with their new song "B.B.B." Instead of exposing their bodies, Dal Shabet sought to show off their subtle feminine charm by using their body curves. Their body conscious look has put a different twist on sexiness, but it seems to be working.

Meanwhile, AOA and Rainbow BLAXX have also chosen the sexy concept for their upcoming comebacks.

However, these girl groups are advocating more of a 'subtle sexy.' Instead of daring chest exposures, they've gone with outfits and dance moves that accentuate their body lines. Instead of an outright explicit exposure, they've put the focus on their figures.

On the other hand, Leessang member Gary released his first solo album Mr. Gae on the 15th, which took an all kill on music charts. The album is of a hip hop genre, and his songs "Shower Later" and "Zotto Mola" have not only ranked at the top of music charts but are currently a hot topic with its sex appeal.

"Shower Later" especially describes love between two lovers with bold and straightforward lyrics. The music video focuses in on the women's body parts, and provocatively displays scenes that represent or are reminiscent of sexual acts. There's definitely no subtlety to be found in this music video.

The agency explained, "This album is a little rough with its lyrics. The honest and emotional content are meant to represent an honest and sincere romance."
