Kelly Clarkson And Brandon Blackstock To Welcome A Baby Girl; ‘American Idol’ Winner Praised By Former Mrs. Blackstock For Being A Good Stepmother

Kelly Clarkson appears to have had a blissful 2013. She got engaged, tied the knot, and found out she was conceiving all in a year. To welcome 2014, Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock finally revealed the gender of their first baby.

"We just found out we're having a girl officially! I knew it! Only a girl could cause this much drama with all this vomiting ha!" the American Idol winner wrote on her Twitter page.

Since her pregnancy announcement in November, Clarkson has been experiencing nausea. In December, she even visited the set of 'The Voice' wherein judge Carson Daly became a witness of the sickness Clarkson was feeling: "She's been having a bit of a rough pregnancy just with the sickness and morning sickness. She throws up lots but she has a great attitude about it."

Indeed, the mom-to-be remains positive that she even told Daly, "I've felt better. I'm looking forward to the second trimester."

While it is Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock's first child together, the latter already has two children with his former wife Melissa. No complications are present because Clarkson is reportedly a good stepmother to 12-year-old Savannah and 6-year-old Seth.

Even the former Mrs. Blackstock appears to be thrilled with how her children react to their stepmother. "My kids love her. I couldn't ask for a better stepmother for my children," she told People Magazine.
