Pokemon X And Y [RUMOR]: Diancie Stone And Anistar City Connection To Mega Evolution And Mega Stones To Be Unveiled In Upcoming Movie 'Cocoon Of Destruction'?

With the recent confirmation of Diancie in the Kalos universe within Pokemon X and Y, very interesting rumors and theories have surfaced regarding its connection to Mega Evolution.

For those who have seen an image of Diancie, it's Rock/Fairy dual-type obviously reinforces a lot in its design, and you can see several stones decorated around its head and body.

RocketClauncher on Pokejungle (who has come up with several rumors noted by this reporter) recently noticed a similarity between the stone in Diancie's head and the gem called morganite.

Morganite is a real stone that was discovered in the early 20th century in California, and comes from the same family as emerald and aquamarine.

The other theory about Diancie is that it also has a connection to the stone/Sundial sitting in Anistar City in Pokemon X and Y. It certainly doesn't seem like a coincidence that the color of the sundial and the color of Diancie's stone are the same.

As Pokemon X and Y fans may know, the Sundial is used post-game to upgrade the Mega Ring, which allows players to find Mega Stones hidden in Kalos.

In addition, it has been confirmed that Diancie will appear in the upcoming Pokemon movie based on X and Y, which will feature Mega Evolution and will likely reveal more behind the mysterious phenomenon.

There certainly seems to be a connection between Diancie and Mega Evolution, and it could revolve around its possible connection to Mega Stones.

And of course, the fact that morganite is related to the emerald stone family has some fans reaching the now obligatory conclusion: Hoenn confirmed!

HeavyMetalLamb on Pokejungle notes that 2015 will the 20th anniversary for Pokemon and the 10th anniversary for Emerald.

Fingers crossed anyone?
