As the tracklist for the upcoming 2NE1 album "Crush" gets revealed, a lot of attention is being put on the only solo song featured on the album called "Mental Breakdown."

"Mental Breakdown" is solo song which features 2NE1 leader CL, who is already gaining attention for producing three songs on "Crush."

Not only does CL have her own solo song, but she composed the eponymous single "Crush," as well as another 2NE1 song called "Hope to Live."

In addition, CL is also credited with lyrics for five songs on "Crush!"

What's interesting about "Mental Breakdown" is that YG founder Yang Hyun Suk has alluded to the fact that other solo songs have been shelved for the time being.

"The long preparation time means there are many songs besides the ones included in the 2nd full album, so other members’ solo songs initially planned to be included in the latest album are currently put aside for the next album," writes the YG founder on YG Life.

Why do you think potential solo songs by Minzy, Bom, and Dara could have been pushed back, while "Mental Breakdown" is included on "Crush?"

Nevertheless, it's possible more 2NE1 songs will be featured in another album later this year, and possibly a CL solo album.

"And as we expect CL to be more actively writing and composing, there should be no problem in releasing 2NE1’s next album and CL’s new solo album before this year ends.”
