EXO and SHINee were appointed as Gangnam district's ambassadors.

Seoul's Gangnam district announced that the board has finalized EXO and SHINee's appointments as ambassadors of the district.

Gangnam district recently implemented various programs geared towards increasing tourism, including opening a tourist information center and creating city tour trolley buses.

Gangnam's efforts were rewarded with 50.8% (5,100,000) of Seoul tourists visiting Gangnam last year.

The district plans to increase tourism by appointing EXO and SHINee as their ambassadors. Their goal is to host a total of 8 million tourists a year.

Gangnam district implements its programs through airport billboards and advertisements featuring EXO and SHINee.

District director Shin Yeon Hee stated that because Gangnam is the hotspot for many entertainment companies, EXO and SHINee's appointment as district ambassadors will be a remarkable boost in achieving the district's goal.
