After having to hold on for a 2-1 win against the Florida Panthers on Thursday, the Coyotes know they're stepping up in class as they try to cool off the NHL's hottest team.

"There's a lot on the line no matter who we play," goaltender Mike Smith told azcentral.com. "It doesn't matter if we just played Florida or we've got Boston coming in. With the position we're in, we don't have time to think about stuff like that. You want to play your best against the best teams in the League, obviously, but I think every game is so important right now that you need to play well every single game to get this team into the playoffs."

Phoenix can't look in the review mirror because the Dallas Stars are trailing it by only two points for the final wild card spot. The Stars will also have a game in hand by the end of Saturday.

After the Bruins win Saturday, they moved into a tie with St. Louis for the most points in the league while clinching a seventh consecutive playoff berth.

"We don't really worry about how many we've won or who we're playing in one day or two days," Johnson told ESPN.com. "We just worry about who's next. That's sort of where our mindset is. Just staying in the moment, I think, is the biggest key to our success right now."
